if you can fit a booster on the fire wall you will have boosted front and rear brakes if you cant
like me use in line booster for front (vh40)and another (vh44)for rear brakes for discs or if you still have
issues with room and engineers you can use the 10inch hq rear drums which work really well and don't need
a booster so you can use just the one on the front I personally now 3 different cars that are running discs all
round with 1 remote vh40 booster on the front only and they stop on a dime, you just have to make sure the
size of the master cyl piston and caliper piston is the correct sizing if you get on the net and down load a copy
of the light vehicle modification code of practice and follow that you will be fine it has all your answers

Have LC 2dr and had a LS1/5spd tremec in it. Had a mate (was) destroy my firewall. He was going to alter the firewall (which he done) then it was going for paint. Have a hole from top, rail to 30mm to the other rail, steering nowhere to go and same for clutch pedal. This happen 2yrs ago and I'm still not over it. I'm pissed because it was a good car and it's going to take a lot of work fixing it. Just got another firewall a few week back but waiting for an engine and box first to see where I need to cut. Thinking maybe easier to modify it out the car and then fit it. Maybe I may set the engine back to fit the sump since I have no firewall at the moment

my spelling crap,i just sat the donk in there today and i believe that you dont nesesary need to go into firewall ,there is about 4 inches room at the front, but i have to get a rear sump to determine what i actually need to do to firewall and tunnel etc

just sat the donk in there minus pan and pickup just to find out where the pan has to be shortened and made deeper to acommodate the olive oil the pickup has to be lenghtened rearwards,or make a square one,i just put a couple marks on block to where the pan needs to be shortened to, the clearance to the k frame is about 1cm and a half, will put up some picsAttached File  ljzedded 069.jpg   586.53K   3 downloads

More likely for sump clearance although cars i've seen had crossmember sectioned so engine could come even closer... better to have it sitting low as can be.
