Stolen From Rowville Melbourne last week.

A Renmax sports car and fully enclosed tandem trailer

This is a very special car. Itwas the first of 4 only ever built and the only one fited with a Repco Brabham V8 engine

Trailer Rego is T39 795 white with no markings

Workshop was broken in to and the trailer with car inside just hooked up and driven away

Shame if the B   ds that stole this just get scared, dump and then burn it.

I dont know how to add the email that I was sent  to this posting

report to local police if any sightings or  contac Jay Bodini 0438 438 093 anytime

cheers

peter

What do the thieves imagine they can do with such a historically significant and distinctive car??

Hope its recovered in one piece.

Its that they dont get punished harsh enough when caught. Its also because stolen goods is not classed as serious or a police priority. If they use a gun or assault someone then the whole states police force is set on the case.  Have a yelling match with the wife or girlfriend you get flooded with police, loose $150k in a robbery and you will eventually get a car sent out for a look.

What a great old race car, find them and hang them in a big tree by the scrotum.

You should post a pic of the trailer if possible.

Hopefully they are sitting there right now thinking " how the F@$#K are we going to move this "

All the parts to this car are so possibly traceable, it hard to think that there is a market for the block, driveline or chassis.

i hope that it just gets towed somewhere and then the cops are called.

the owner must be gutted to the max, i would be.

Yeah I came across it on one of the news websites today too.

Apparently the trailer was found on Phillip Island.

They said they found the trailer, but the car is gone. Looks like its on its way OS, but its pretty much got to stay hidden (even OS) and who ever buys its is going to pay very limited amounts for such a worldwide recognisable car. (and drive line etc)

Try selling a stolen repco 308 F5000 engine. Bit hard to not attract attention let alone get by the race scrutineers.

Yeah heard this on the radio this morning too, they were saying the owner would be reunited with the car soon, great news hey!

I still find the whole thing very strange. Who would steal a car like this in the first place when you can't do anything with it? Then the trailer shows up at Philip Island, followed by the car in Belgrave. I wonder if they took it for a fang on the streets.

Shows the intelligence and greed of these num nuts, if your going to steal a car ..... this one and distinctive one off cars just make "no sense to me". Fine if its common ....but its a bit like stealing a rare Rembrandt or Picasso wtf could you really do with it?

Anyhow just glad to see this rare car is back where it belongs.

Lets hope they now find the thieving bastards as these parasites will only do it again to someone else if not caught.

I find thieves of other peoples hard earned stuff the lowest form of scum around.

Yeah I seen it on the news too. Apparently those numb skulls took this beast for a bit of a paddock bash, imagine trying to control that thing on a dirt road, lucky it wasnt wrapped around a tree.

Doesn't sound like they knew what they had, or if they did, they clearly didn't understand its significance, or more likely didn't care.

More than fun it seems, the email mentions bent chassis, steering rack, front end, radiator smashed, no water in motor and obviously cooked, bent half shafts and the the list will no doubt get bigger as the owner works his way through the mess. the problem with the judiciary in Victoria is that if these bastards are brought before the court the usual tired old excuses will be trotted out such as , from a broken home, drunk at the time, on drugs , no one was hurt your Worship it is only a car after all, etc etc. . The answer is surely that any property that they own, or will ever own in their life time be seized , sold, and proceeds given to the victim as compensation. I would like to think that this could become law someday but I think the softc#%ks that we call polititions would back away from something like this. Maybe our new friend from the AMEP would be worth a call to see where he stands on this one

There has been an arrest made by Victoria Police in connection with the Historic and rare Renmax race car stolen a few weeks ago.

You're fr0ckin joking right?

I'm surprised the cops didn't impound the car for 60 days because clearly the driver was hooning.

edit: Not having a go at you Rod just sick of these scum sucking morons who are too lazy and/or useless to work to get anything nice for themselves getting away with this sort of stuff because they are losers.

If you keep giving people excuses they will keep using them.
