If he were to go to that trouble why wouldn't he put a better dash in, nice work though

Exactly my thought too. Nice job but a crappy looking dash IMHO.

Cheers

That car was built by a very good friend of mine here in Perth it is actually a HZ body converted into a HQ, alot of work in it's self with a VL wagon given to him by his Grandad as the doner car. (HZ to HQ long story)
It now runs a turbo charged RB30 with a VL auto and VL Borgwarner diff.
I have heaps of pics right through the rebuild.(dont know how to post on here)
A very well done conversion and a very nice looking car.
The dash was only about 5cm too short on either side but with a little glass and bog and alot of time it looks a treat.
Car is also running air con all through the dash not after market for those hot Perth days.
He has also retained all the VL wiring harness in the HQ
Its the same colour as the dash with a orange and cream leather interior, four door electric windows and a killer sound system.
No boot lock, boot release in glove box and remote central locking
Car was at Motorvation last year.
Now his dads car who is my mate has a HQ GTS Monaro started out as a 355 stroker is soon to be twin turbo quadcam Lexus V8 should be a wild ride also a very nice car with plenty of trick ideas, picked up best '71 and on two door at 2004 Hotrod show.
Should be back on road this summer.

I hope Mike gets the Lexus Q monaro ready soon
I'd like to see it go (I want to see if the clutch I supplied holds up)
Tiny this is the "Hillbilly" car I may have mentioned and shown you pictures of before.

The box is actually a R33 auto in the sedan and its an RB20DET
At least it was when I was last there when he was swapping the box.
Lots of work gone into the sedan
A credit to them
