Have to work out if I get the extractors modified to fit under the gearbox crossmember or get a custom crossmember to make room for the exhaust

Go for the new crossmember

My CRS one is very slimline for clearance

Or get one made... can't be that hard really

Yeah datto I'm thinking a custom one . But I still need to take extractors out to get flanges welded and hpc coat

It would make a big difference if you got the extractors hpc coated before the exhaust is installed. Its one thing I am spewing I didnt do on my build but I am planning to have them removed when my gearbox is removed in a few months.

Lovely looking car. Love the Salamanca colour on an LH :-)  One question though, where are the chrome moulds inside the window frames?  That finishes them off. I notice it has the chrome mould on the drip rail too.

Looking forward to seeing this build through to fruition....

Good point Gerry. The car will look odd with the chrome strip around the front window and no chrome strips around the door windows. I am sure this car is a genuine SLR5000 from memory and that is a finish that makes these cars stand out from a replica.

I would suggest installing a 9 inch with 31 spline billet axles and I'm running 3.7 true trac strange centre for street with a 4200 convertor

Whats the go with the engine, 355? Looks pretty stout from the outside, Im assuming its got some god gear inside.

4200 converter, should give you some nice slingshots out of the hole

Yeah I didn't go crazy with the engine . Scat bottom end , vn heads with just a little clean no big porting , harrop dual plane , h286 crane cam , 750 hp carb , made 402 hp with 430 ft torque . For street I'm happy
