Are those spring locators/mounts normally just chopped off the old banjo housing that gets pulled out and then welded to the 9in housing?

So not all is lost, the OP could just lop off the mounts from his old diff and get them welded to this 9in, may need a new paint job though... bugger...

You want to put a bigger diameter rim on the front but dont you have a rubbing issue?

It is all about backspace on wheels that allows room , my backspace is 3.3/8 ATM but if I get a 4.5 backspace a bigger wheel should fit

Understand why you want to fill in the guards but unless you modify the guards you can only fit a certain diameter tyre. I can tell you the maximum diameter as I had the same problem.

You can only fit a total diameter size tyre of 23.5 inches. I have 195/55/15's on the front which are 23.44 inch in diameter. These only clear the front bottom of the guard by about 5-10mm. You can use this guide to help you choose a suitable tyre size that wont give you any rubbing issues when turning the steering.

Great wheel choice.  What size and offest are they?  Hoping the fronts don't catch the guards when you lower it like mine used to...

Mine were 6" with 3 1/2 in backspace, 195/60 tryes and they grabbed the guards on lock when reversing or going up driveway gutters.  Hence me changing them.  Maybe you will be ok with the lowver profile and skinnier tyres.  Would hate to see you bend newly painted guards.  I would cry for you LOL...

Helps when u do the hq stubs from torana stubs , helps with less bump steer , so if u are going to upgrade your brakes these harrop arms are a must
