I recall some time back reading about a forum member that was making a solid metal chromed insert that replaced the plastic one on a lc/lj centre console but for the life of me can't find the thread!
Can anybody remember who it was ???

Hi torry nut.
gm3300 makes a good one out of polycarbonate using a CNC mill, better than original.
