Hey, I was wondering, is it possible, to convert something like a 350 to EFI, or do you have to get a EFI motor, I know you can convert the 202 to EFI, but can you do it 383's and 454's etc etc... and also, how much work is needed

Any motor can be converted to EFI, you need all the usuall things that make an EFI set up like injectors computer sensors etc etc. some motors are more suitable than others (especially in the head/manifold department) hence making it better sometimes to start with the injected model.
if your question was more speciffic i could give a more defined answer, but yes, any motor CAN be converted.

Hi, You can use aftermarket efi, such as Edelbrok or Holley. Or some motors can be converted using late model gear. Such as 308 with 304 efi heads manifold etc. You have to be careful as some newer engines wont lend there parts to the early girls.

not sure if your reffering to the chevrolet small block 350s mate but just incase
1957 saw the first type of injection mechanical injection but was a bit of a lemon as it made less power than a stock 4 barrell
however chevrolet made the efi into there cars late 70s early 80s???? cant rememeber (TPI) worked well
but then again you can almost get efi for anything nowadays really we have an old b&m supercharger kit for a 350 in one of our chevs which has efi to prevent the carby out of the bonnet and cop bait (wolf in sheeps clothings)
however if your planning efi on a gm 671 ive heard rumors that its not a good combo as the efi directly shoots the fuel in under the blower which the gm blowers relly on the fuel from the carby to keep there internals kool.
