Standard tray for GTR I think. From memory the XU-1 tray was different to clear the front carby.

Rare spares sell the xu-1 tray.If you're lucky you might find someone wrecking a lc, lj and remove the tray.
Spot welded to the inner guard ,support bracket welded to chassis rail.
Cheers Gad.

Bloody Top Job on the mock-up of battery tray in any case there Dave... Well Done M8 you certainly don't deserve to be poked with a stick for going above the call of a "Knowledgeable One"......

I don't think sticky tape will hold it in too well either Dave?
Haha Rob, it's duct tape which is stronger than sticky tape.

Hey Andrew, it's not a mock up. The NOS left hand wheelhouse panel came with the battery tray installed.
The other battery tray with the support was removed from a wreck.
Cheers
Dave.

Excellent help thankyou. These photos show me a huge difference in the type of tray, and now prompts me to source an original tray, I think this build deserves it. And I will get duct tape aswell. cheers

and, didn't the Battery Tray for the Triples, be placed at an Angle, like at 40 degrees, instead of parallel to the guard. Dave I

I think the important question to be answered here is where I can obtain the item. (battery tray and vertical support) am I in the right place to ask that?
