well have just dropped a deposit on a Torana fron nsw, will be picking it up on the 7th bringing it back to SA,

no mods cert. to worry about

Sounds like the thread starter had a general question and was not locked onto any car. Then once he choose a Torana he found it was std or lightly modified. Obviously had it had a non standard engine swap, supercharger, wheel tubs or 12" rims etc then its a whole different scenario.

Its common sense stuff really that for some reason people just like to over complicate.

Go back and read the for sale ad. Lots of mods that routinely give people grief at inspection time. I am not surprised it was an easy change over despite this. Common sense prevails.

So if vsb 14 says that the modification is now illegal unless done before it came in does that mean that car must stay in that state to remain as is and if you take it to another state you would have to reduce the size of the engine or not? Seems like there is no true answer. I read on the Rms (Rta nsw) website that they don't recognise other engineering reports from interstate as we all have different laws. Thanks
