It looks like this event is on hold till a new venue is found. I thought I'd share this:

"The Kellyville Plaza shopping centre is undergoing a major development. As a result, the capacity of the Centre’s carpark is considerably restricted. The influx of cars from the monthly rally causes extra congestion and restricts car spaces for other customers conducting their regular shopping at the Centre.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could advise your members and interested groups, that the Kellyville Plaza carpark is no longer suitable for these type of gatherings and that an alternative venue needs to be selected.

Please express my appreciation for the patronage of the Centre by your members and interested groups and for their assistance in this matter.

Regards,
Mark Smithers
Facilities Manager NSW | Property"

I think Mr Burns put Smithers up to it and it's probably Homer's fault that it's gone pear shaped.

I have been to the last 6 events and thoroughly enjoy them.

* car park has never been over 40% capacity (EVER) and most attendees gone by 9:00am

* about 10 carpark spaces are compromised by the redevelopment  ( I'd guess about a total of 300)

* I will ask the coffee shop Gloria Jeans if they agree with the move on.

* I will ask the bistro Pasqulina's  if they agree with the move on.

* I will ask the newsagent if they agree with the move on.

* I will ask the other shop if they agree with the move on.

80% of cars and coffee attenndees become shoppers at the plaza, they buy something.

Then I'll have a little chat with Smithers and sort this out  tomorrow.

I agree with all you're saying but it could be that Smithers is being diplomatic.  All it takes is one or two complaints to ruffle feathers, I recall there was some hoon a few months back howling it up the street, not what the neighbours want to hear on a Sunday morning but that car hasn't been back.

Simple answer is use the Woolworths carpark (and support the Woolworths coffee facilities)!!! that orta put a smile on the Woolworths managers face. Turn left after entering at the round about.

The politics of the shopping centre...lol

I doubt it will happen.

Its a lot nicer sitting at Gloria Jeans being able to keep an eye on your car.

The organisers are looking into options, they're keen to keep this event going so no doubt they'll come up with another suitable venue.

As far as I know it has continued.

This is the latest from another forum: There have been some changes in the car park due to the new shops opening. The part of the car park usually occupied is now being dug up for a new Maccas. The new entry is from the Aldi roundabout. Perhaps the roof of the new multi level car park will be the venue.
