Hey everyone im looking for some new tyres. My rims are 14 x 8 magnums. I've been looking around everywhere and the only tyres ive found are 245 50 R14 Eagers. These are currently on the back of the car. But I dont want anything that wide on the front. The fronts at the moment are 215 60 R14. I want to get something roughly the same width but no wider than 225 but in the 50 series. Can anyone tell me where i can find some?

Cheers

I'd stay with the 215 x 14 for the front. I don't believe you can a 50 series tyres in the width you are looking for. Good luck with the search.

I was recently chasing 14 inch tyres also. There is very limited stock in 14s now, with many of the sizes unavailable anymore.
I couldnt ended up only being able to get a 215 60 for the rear but i was tryin to get a 225 or 235 50 and couldnt get 50 series anywhere.
I was told by tyre shops the only way to get tyres that size is to get them imported myself.
You may be lucky and find someone with a some still in stock...if you do let me know if theres any extras....
cheers

I've been looking around and the only size I have found are 205 50 R14. Might have to go with them even though they arent terribly wide..

225/60/14 and 235/60/14 are much easier to find. I guess your heart is set on a 50 profile in 14". Its really time to think new wheel sizes if you want wider and lower profile tyres.

Thems the facts.

l thought that Yokohama had started again making a range of R352 50 series 14" tyres. l was enquiring about these a few weeks back in 225 and 245/50's and l was given the impression that both were available.

you've got 14x8 so you could put your 245s on the front and put some 265s on the ass.

That will be good news for many if that is the case Mondie, perhaps there is hope yet :)

I have finally found some tyres. They are 225 45 R14 BF Goodrich G Force TA Drag Radial. They are the first street legal drag tyre.

Heres a link http://www.bfgoodric... TA Drag Radial
