G'day all, I am a new member of this forum and a new owner of a 1968 HB Torana. The HB Torana does not have the same value as the later Torana models. Obviously not a sought after vehicle. I have always loved my older Holden Vehicles and the Torana I bought appealed to me due to its age, general overall condition and with a worked 202 and all the goodies it runs and sounds great. I would love to hear members general opinions on the HB Torana. Are they the ugly, non-respected sister or?

I might be banned for this but I'd prefer an HB, in stock form, over a LH LX UC sedan. They may be just Vauxhall Vivas with round headlights but I really like the 60s style they have.

Hang on!!

Worked 202 aint stock!!

Pics please and welcome to the forum.

I think you'll find there are very few members who do not have a soft spot for the good old HB.

After all, its where it all started.

You'd wanna have some appreciation for that one after what you went through to get it home.

Nearly had to fire it up and put the cruiser on the trailer didn't you?

Got my eye on a HB at the moment. Seriously thinking of selling the LH and going with the 69. No room here for both, sadly. I had both a series one then a two, when they were new. Here is a pic of the two when it was a few days old. March 69.And - yes I still have the same wife,45 years this July.

Thanks for a bit of discussion on the HB. I will post a few pics soon. Thanks Rod for sharing your photo, loved it. My HB is certainly no show car. Looks like a bit of a sleeper but has a hell of lot of GO. This forum is Torana gold. Good to hear from knowledgeable enthusiasts.

I prefer the look of HB's to LC / LJ's to be honest, they have that US 'Coke bottle' style hipline that most of our coupes missed out on.

I prefer the big Toranas because they are built Aussie style with decent door hinges etc instead of those Meccano Set jobs of the Viva derivatives but a HB would be my second choice.

Yeah thats the one. Let it pass on ebay and bought it privately. Needs a bit of work but overall pretty decent and well priced.
