I raced a 944 Porsche in the old VMRC (now VSCRS), Aporschapart 944 challenge series. I had a great time out there racing in a one make, all bloke series... lol.. I even went to Mallala, S.A, and entered in the night races, which were awesome.. I shared the car with my now, ex-husband, so some of the rounds we cross entered and I drove with the sports cars. That was certainly an experience, 911's and masarati's flying past me like I was standing still.. I was also pit crew, tow vehicle driver, refueller, and baby sitter, as the kids came along to the track with us!!! Over the few years I raced the 944, I met drivers such as John Bowe, Warren Luff, and Matt Coleman. Nice guys..

I now have a work in progress, with an LX torana.. It will make it's debut outing with me behind the wheel at Sandown later this month, in a club sprint... ( lots of fine tuning and upgrades to be done before I get back into racing with that)..

Yep... I own and race my LX Torana (details below) in the NSW State motor racing series.... Before that I raced a VC Commodore in Imp Prod (same class). Before that I spent 15 odd years rallying a Datsun 1600 at all levels including ARC.

I navigated for a mate in his jetboat for a few meetings years ago. What an adrenalin rush. Never experienced anything like it.

Boats are the biggest thrill they pull 3-4 g`s around a corner (as you can see by my head leaning over in the pic).
I`d love to get a drive in one for a meeting or 2. If anyone in melbourne is curious i think the dates are the 16th and 17th of november.

i crew on a mates drag car. started in modified(a/ma) when kwinana opened,
rolled the car in the last meeting of 1st season, built a new one,won state point score for A/MA and a christmas tree for western nationals over the next 2 years,
then went to comp to run C/A. made it to qtrs at western nationals as only NA car against the blown guys and got within 8 tenths of national record. sold car(new owner won christmas tree in his 1st season). currently building new lighter faster one. i do al sorts of things from towing it to the track, refueling, packing shute, check tyre pressure in staging lanes, tuning jet changes etc and reverse gear after burnout. in the off season anything from rebuilding motor to rubbing back body/chassis for paint
