I would be interested, however I have heard that the driver/ owner of the car can be heavily fined for accepting money to drive their car...
I seem to remember the police consider this requiring a hire car/ wedding hire/ special events license.
I remember a guy being fined $10 000 or something crazy like that for operating a wedding hire car without a licence...

Yep, and also consider liability issues should the worst happen.... Sorry mate but i think you will find most owners will consider the risk too large...
On the other hand if you were friends with the owners and there was no traceable fee involved, would probably be ok
