Thanks to Jake Edwards from Jakes Performance today. A real knowledgeable fella. We ran my new set up on his dyno and sorted out a few bugs. Now I know she is right for the drags. Can't wait to see what she can do...

Thanks Tiny
Thanks for posting the regs...
Just saw this;
"All cooling systems must have an appropriate catch can to prevent overflow from dropping onto the racing surface"....
I'm presuming this is strictly regulated???
If so I have some work to do...

Very strict! Its *really hard* A 600ml coke bottle with overflow hose going into lid - cable tied...... = pass!!!
Funny that- I was thinking about a coke bottle or gatorade bottle, and whether that would pass...
Should take all of 2 minutes to fit.

What is the cost per car and spectators enter as per normal?
#39
Posted 11 August 2014 - 07:30 PM
I'm not sure Terry, been that long since i raced!
I think its $55 for racers and $20 for spectators,
Entry as normal.
FOR THOSE RACING: - When you grab your entrant form at the gate - tell them you are from the GMH-Torana group - and when you get your wrist band - same!!
They will put the special lane number on it so we line up together!
Cheers!

They wont have been able to book the lane on the same day as us!
John limits private lane bookings to 20 cars otherwise it blocks the staging lane safety lane!
I have emailed John Henman to confirm that we are all good....
They may have a big group just rock up, but they wont technically get their own lane!
Cheers!

Unfortunately I wont be able to make it.
My clutch has sh*t itself and wont have time to do anything with it for a while.
Any recommendations for what clutch to use? Brand? Type?
My engine is running about 190-200rwhp but is mainly a cruiser (occasional/ rare track time, but still may cop some abuse!)
I have a difficult driveway to reverse out of so I will need to use a clutch that will tolerate a degree of slip. I was running a solid brass button but this is not ideal for me.
Any recommendations?
PS Can someone please remove my name from the list?
Thanks

So what time is everyone getting to SD? We are leaving from Canberra at 6.00am sharp to be at the drags at 9.00am at the latest. We are fortunate enough that the dragway put a few tickets aside for us coming from down south.
Apparently the weather is going to be perfect 23 degrees.
Can't wait. I will be in the greenmachine in my avatar.
