gday all,

I just scored for myself a 186 head. I think it is off a 186S, but not sure what car its from.

Number on the head above ports is 7437359.

Can anyone tell me would this be a better head for hot rodding than the 202 head currently on the JL 202 in my parts LJ?

thanks

Steve

Hi Steve.

That head is a standard HR to HG 186 head. The only advantage it has over your 202 head is that it has studs for adjustable rockers, ports & valves are the same. The spark plugs are also the older ones with the longer thread & the washer seat.
