I'm looking at getting 'the lowest possible' springs for my LC. Sink the wheels right into the arches.

At the moment im already running slightly lower springs and firmer lowered shocks in standard arches.. maybe 1.5" below standard. I'm also running the standard 13" rims and small tyres with plenty of clearance to take it a couple more inches down. I can't find any model numbers on my current springs, so I cant check what i'm running already.

I had a look at Lovells and KingSpring catalogues but they don't list superlows for toranas.. and you can never tell how low the typical 'low' class springs are.

If anyone has low springs on their torrie, with pics and details.. i would GREALTY appreciate it. I'd much rather go to a suspension place and tell them exactly what I want. GTR/XU-1's with 13"s would be the best for comparison.

Thanks :spoton:

low Lovells are heapslower than pedders and kings, as i have them in my gtr and it is bloody low, lower than the other gtr with brand new low kings in it, and the kings have dropped a bit since they have been put in and thelovells havent dropped yet so they will only get lower

The set i bought for my lc where from lovells, i didnt like how they sat so i contacted them about resizing, not a problem, as all they needed was how much i wanted to low or raise them.
Cheap to do, basically any springs can be reset to what ever height you want depending upon how many coils there are

too low and the lower control arm rubber will ride on the chassis stop and will eventually bend your lower control arm near the balljoint ..

has anyone experienced shortening the chassis stop ???

My chassis stops are gone..I need to replace them before I go out again..Funny thing is..pass side is a screw in type and the drivers has a cup it sits in..obviously been replaced in its life.

I just contacted Lovells and they say their 'Sports Low' springs are the lowest they'll make them.. due to 'coil binding issues'.

Hey 70rev,

Can you do me a favour and measure the "eye brow height" of your front king springs.

The eye brow height is the measurement from the centre of the wheel hub to the lowest point of the guard.

I'm about to RAISE my LJ coz it's too low for the street.

It currently has Pedders Low coils in it and the eye brow height is 270mm. I have spoken to King Springs and they say their lowered coils are 300mm and their standard height coils are 330mm, but I'd like someone to confirm that before I go to the trouble of installing them. I'd be happy with it around 300-310mm.

Thanks,
Mike

I ended up going pedders. I asked for Lovells, but apparently Pedders are lower.
