hey guys, in the near future im going to upgrade my carb, i currently run a standard BX carb which has a annoying flat spot, its on my 186 which runs a mild cam, and extractors.

I want to know what fuel comsumption a set of tripples would use? and how much more power would i gain/lose.

OR what would a Holley 350 or similar run like?.

I feel like the carb i am running is not giving enough power. it has been re-jetted not long ago too.

A Holley 4bbl with Vacuum secondaries like a 390, would be a perfect choice. It runs at about 270 with the secondaries closed and gives you instant response.
Economy depends on the weight of your right foot.

A set of triples (Strommies/SUs/Webers/Dellortos/etc) is not a choice for fuel economy. Power gains are appreciable and responsiveness, when tuned well, is amazing. It should be noted that the engine should be adjusted to suit triples, otherwise it's restrictions will rob the overall usefullness of the carbs.

Grant..

There have been others cheaper but usually around $200ish. Few and far between.
Not a common size.
