Hey guys what is the general method of attacking my rectifying the brake hose that runs from the car body to the diff? It attaches to the copy line on the swaybar mount on the drivers side and touches my dual exhaust, atm it is zipped tied to the spring but I dont like the degree of curvature on the hose (looks as if overtime it will tear).
I'm thinking of mounting the attachment of the copper line and flexi hose on the opposite side of the swaybar mounting point with a shorter hose to keep it out of the way of the exhaust.

you going to have to move the bracket or have a 90deg fitting made.
i thought copper lines were illegal as they may burst under pressure?

looking at the second pic im thinking if you can get a fitting to go between the hose and the tee block. maybe even 45deg will get you out of trouble.
copper lines/factory can anyboby else tell me if this is true? Dattoman?

I can't say I've ever seen copper as factory
But..... they are old now so who knows whats original and whats not
Maybe Dr Terry could answer that question better
Yes copper is illegal.
Its also a big no no if you ever want to drag race it too
Copper/nickle however is ok.
Anyway. Looks like you have a small problem there. I'd relocate the bracket myself and maybe even the hard line so the pipe is closer to the diff centre
Just a thought

Those lines are brand new I got them made to length at a brake shop last week, they look like the excaltly the same metal that was used when I went to datto's old work place (perth brakes) to get my new brake lines made up for the front brakes when I did a v8 swap and painted the bay in my old torana.
Datto are you on about relocating the bracket on the diff? Would you then run the custom made length flexi hose over the exhaust or below it? How excaltly would you route it. Is there another method besides welding on a new bracket on the diff (if that is what you are talking about) as I just painted it up and put it in there on the weekend.

without seeing the diff its hard to say mate
If the pipes are made of that same steel tubing I sold you that has the copper anticorrosion colouring then they are fine
Looks like your due for a new rubber hose anyway
You need a custom one made with a 90 deg end I think.
In braided of course
