Hey all, well Iv'e just arrived home from the Toranafest road trip adventure. I must say what I great time I had and to finally put a face to the names. hello to the three amigos which would be Skap, Gene and IMORAL, was good to have a chat at the Farm, maybe we can catch up not far down the track. Now I must say a big thanks to the HVTC for doing a bang up job for getting everything up and going. :spoton: And a big thanks to the people who have uploaded the pics here :clap: . I noticed my car made the cut, thanks.

Well my journey began the Friday before the Fest where the first stop was the Caltex roadhouse in Warwick where I met up with the GTR & XU-1 QLD. Had a feed and we were on our way, not, one of the members cars wouldn't start. He thought left his lights on and had a flat battery but that was not the case, battery was all good, had no power any where, nothing. After scratching our heads finally worked out it was the amp gauge that died. So after pulling the dash out and bridging the main wires together she was a goer two hours later. The Coppers did a drive thru and checked us out and gave us the thumbs up.

The next stop was Tenterfield for a top up of fuel. The NSW Coppers drove in and also gave us the thumbs up, even getting out and taking happy snaps. the next leg was Tamworth for another fuel stop and a snack.On our way again, this time I drove to Scone where I have family and where my cook had been there for a week prior. The others drove a little further and pulled up stumps at Muswellbrook.

Next day with an extra passenger made our way to Motto Farm and caught up with the club members and said Three Amigos. Then Toranafest the next day. I also have family in Newie so stayed there untill Wensday and then crusied back up to Scone and stayed untill yesterday. While I was there I caught up with the previous owner of my Torry who was blown away when he saw it. He traded it in for all things a Datsun in 1979 and Iv'e had ever since. Ran into old mates who I haven't seen for years and they were amazed that I still have it, it was great to catch up with them.

Left Scone yesterday and stayed in Glen Innes for the night and got home this arvo.

So there you have it my Road trip adventure. On a side note every I stopped whether it was for fuel or at the supermarket or on the side of the road the amount of people that would come over and say great car or cool car or "Look an XU-1", felt good.

PS Any one living in South East QLD, there is the All Holden Day & A9X Nationals in Toowoomba this Sunday. I will post more info in the QLD section.

Great pic's and cars, shame I didn't get time to go around and have a good look at all of them,it was good to catch up with some familiar faces and also to meet some new one's.

All in all another great weekend considering the weather.
