Looks terrific mate! Hey dumb question here, but how much better at illuminating are the LED strips compared to the original incandescent globes? Its been over 8 years since I've had my dash together... Just wondering if I should incorporate this into my own dash project.

434LX, awesome job mate!! I know it's been a while, but do you still have any faciers, would be interested in one if you do, or if you have done a kit.

That's one nice looking dash mate, well done. What would this set forum members back if we supplied a core dash and you built it to the same standard?

Sorry everyone, have been living the high life in the USA for a while.

Any spare facia's and decals went out the door straight away when I was doing the build...

Nicko, I'll PM you now.

LS1LX, I wont be doing any cluster builds as I don't have the parts and time at the moment. Sorry.

Greetings. I just discovered your very informative write up. I am about to alter my Speedhut gauge too and was wondering how difficult it is to pry the needle from the dial? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ditto! Just installed a set of Speedhut gauges myself and was keen to compare the results!

not the best photos but you'll get the idea.

Thinking of bringing the gauges forward in the facia a little more but generally happy with how they worked out.

Thanks Mark. Much Appreciated. To me they look great. I am thinking of having a go at something along those lines as originals are getting pricey. Ill have a look at what speed hut have. Were they hard to get looking that good.

Thanks for the kind words! You might notice I wanted to pay tribute to the original yellow digit SLR gauges I was replacing so I scanned through the options to find the colours, fonts and needle designs to suit. Installation was actually easier than expected. I needed to hack up an old cluster housing and simply inserted a thin timber sheet between the front and rear of the housing to mount the gauges on. The photo quality gets worse but you might get the idea....
