You're the only one holding up the Torana Flag Pete, meke it a good one.

Go see Les and tell him that Grant P is disappointed that the A9X isn't getting more outings. I guess he wants to be higher up the field this year.

Grant..

Don't worry about the V8's Grant......
The new "bullet" just came off the dyno :D :D
So as soon as the gearbox is ready I will strap it all back together....
I am predicting a re-emergence of the mighty V8...... ^_^
Pete... are you in a garage? If so where... Will come say Hi, and see if I can find you this time!
Sounds like a"full" grid..... should be some great racin'

Cheers Greg..

Grant,
this will be Les T first outing for the year... I am not sure what is faster his RX7 or His Torrie?? both should run top 5. Yep I will pay Les a visit as I would like to pick his brains re his torrie etc. Thanks for the encouragement. :spoton:

Greg,
I wont be in a Garage... I will be on the lower pit area just off to the right as you come through the pit gate... which is where I was last time. Best time to catch me is just before or just after a Race/Qual etc.

I just hope this dosent happen v.... btw both drivers OK...

Fairly sure the NSWRRC(Oran park) charge $15 a head....
Well worth it for a great days racing from many different classes.
That $ also includes full pit access.....
Far better racing and value for $ than a V8 supertaxi round.....IMHO!

Cheers Greg..

Thanks for dropping by Keith, glad you liked my Torana.

I had a great weekend, I qualified with a 1.24.2 (26th) which equaled my previous fastest lap :D . I went over and spoke to Les Taylor about Tyre Pressures and I also fitted some better front brake pads and the change felt much better giving me more confidence with the car (yes Grant I told him Hi from you). In Race 1 I managed a 1.23.8, so a little faster and I had a race long Dual with an RX7, VY V8, Audi Quattro... by Race end I managed to get past the Audi and finished 22nd.
Race 2 The table was reversed I held out those 3 cars for most of the Race but still ended up 16th and 2nd in class with a best lap of 1.22.8 :spoton: . In Race 3 I ended up 19th and a time of 1.23.8, just going for a finish. This weekend is probably the first time I have been able to battle it out in the middle of the pack... which was great.... I still have a lot to learn about the car and there are still some improvements I can do... Look forward to Wakefield Park 19/20 Aug (yes 3 weeks from now)

Well done Pete,

Glad to hear things are heading in the right direction! I'm in a similar situation to you re the braking side of things, thats where the little cars are really killing me at the moment...

Its heaps of fun "firing" it out of the corners and scaring them as you go past though...haha

good luck at the next one!

cheers,

Sam
