Hey Guys

This might seem like a dumb question...but is there a slr 4200?

I googled it and came up with nothing? But I m sure I've seen em?

I was looking to buy a mates LH with a 253 in it, and was also considering building

a replica of a 4200 (for something different)

Can anyone help or is this of the obvious ?

Cheers Nik

As above, it was just called an SLR and had the 253 V8 fitted. A 6 cylinder 202 was available too and if you wanted the 308, you had to buy the SLR5000.

And if you're wondering, the 202 and 253 SL/Rs look the same as each other, and different from the S/SL models (blackouts, badging etc).

But the SL/R 5000 had a different paintjob again and was the only one that came with the front and rear spoilers standard.

the paintjob on an LH SLR is no different to an LH SLR5000. The change comes when you go to LX. An LX SLR looks nothing like an LX SLR5000.

You would have to say "slightly" different as the LH SLR 202 and 253 were blacked out below the front grill lower chrome moulds.

yes, slightly different at the front. However if you put front and rear spoilers on an LH SLR, it looks like a 5000
