was just wondering what people would recommend for lubricating hinges and window winders and door lock mechanism?

A lubricate called "never seize"
Its copper based grease and works like the name says.

Hinges and lock, white grease pencil. Lock cylinder --> graphite. Window winder mechanism, white grease pencil, rubber guide tracks, silicon spray.

WD40 Evaporates and dries up leaving you at square one again.wd40
Silicone based spray should work tops.

I believe the white grease pencils to which yella refers above are lithium grease which is what I would be using.

Yeah, I'll have a look at it Mat. Somebody said that's what you use, so that's what I bought. Will have a look at the label and get back to you.

Goss Dri-Lube is what I have --> White grease pencil.
As with all things lubricant or adhesive wise, bugger all info that I can find on it.
