As Indy Orange said, I've only ever relied on Tectaloy Ultra Cool and had perfect results all round the board. Live in area with -5 to -8 degree and still never had a prob. Also yes I've heard the differences with green to red coolants (panel beater here) but red is more delicate to modern all alloy engines. Cast engines the differences are subtle however the green tends to be a better performer

Only came across this EVANS stuff the other day......a local guy who knows his stuff, and does track days and Targa Tas. etc was putting it in car.

 

Was saying you need to rid the cooling system of all water, then just pour it in, since there's no H2O in it, as 447SBC said above, it doesnt boil.

 

This local guy had just also removed his catch/overfow hose and bottle, and dropped the rad. cap down to say 2psi, as there apparently, is virtually no pressure in the system when running ( apart from just pimp pressure). All the cap does now is stop it from spilling out.  Sounded interesting.
