Could we get 6 Torana's to enter a team in this event? Anyone interested?

The 2015 event is on Sunday 26th July.

Entries and Supplementary Regulations haven't been issued yet, but this is a link to last years event.

http://www.wakefield...hour-regularity

- Entry is $750 per Team (half last years fee)

- Max 6 drivers/cars, min 3 drivers/cars per team

- Limit of 30 Teams

- The objective is to complete as close as possible the number of goal laps. Goal laps are set based on the average of all lap times nominated by team members

- The event is only open to sports cars and touring cars, no open wheel race cars

- The fastest lap time acceptable is 1:09 and the slowest 1:25

- Each Team requires a Team Manager

Mmmmm ........ I now see it also conflicts with two other events at Eastern Creek; MGCC Newcastle running a CSCA round on Saturday and FoSC on Sunday

Are you participating in FoSC events?  They keep hitting me up to Flag for them.

Hi Pat,

I think theres a couple of SMP South ( Amaroo, as they call it ) FOSC events on this years calender...31 May & 1 Nov......hoping to have a go in one or both of those. Not sure about the other guys at this stage.

Would be good to link up if it works out.

I did a couple of FoSC events last year and did their event at SMP last Saturday (7/3) - on the "Druitt" North Circuit for a change. They run a good event and I'll definitely do more.

I would probably go in and have been crunching the numbers on laps.

I'll start the team;

Grant

I recon that lap times of around 1.20 or 1.25 ( if cruising )  means that there is about 50 laps per hour x 6 = 300 laps

So about 100 laps per car OR about 3 stints of 30mns or so but this is based on 6 cars being entered.

Grant, 6 cars/drivers would be ideal (1 hour each) - this would be most favourable for what probably aren't going to be race drivers nor race cars!!

To do 50 laps per hour, will need lap times of 1 min 12 secs (and this still doesn't take into account the in/out lap). 1 min 20 secs is closer to 45 laps per hour, But it doesn't really matter, one hour is going to be a reasonable work load. I'm keen if we can get 5 or 6 cars - otherwise Eastern Creek sounds like a good alternative!

Steve
