Hi Steve....I'm thinking between 850 and 900 front, and 200 and 250 pounds rear
That's what I was told when I had a suspension guy who said he'd set my car up as per Nc .
I never went ahead with it, as the cost was out of my league....in the short term

Ive also thought about this and was wondering Say
" if you only do track work is the rate of spring pressure the same as say a Tarmac Rally spec , BUT just a bit higher rider height on the car "
would be interested to understand other thoughts on this.

I have an LJ XU1 which is an ex Group C race car, now on club plates and used on the road now and again. At one stage the car was fitted with a suspension setup "as per the day" which I thought was pretty awful all round. If you contact Toperformance Products in Vermont Sth Victoria you will be speaking to the organisation that assisted the Late Ian Jones to develop his XU1 into what has become the blueprint of all that followed. The kit they suggest is not just springs but specially valved shocks and adjustable stabiliser bars if yours are not suited. I fitted all this to mine and setup as suggested by them and it works a treat. Rides hard on the road and suspension travel is limited, however works very well in a race environment

Thank you all for your feedback.
I have 3 sets of front springs. I have established that one set are off-the-shelf lowered King springs @ 645lbs. I think those in the car may be approx 800lbs and the third set approx 1000lbs but have been unable to verify this.
I had a look at the Toperformance web site. I am already using Koni shocks, so once I understand a bit more about what I have and what I would like to achieve I will give them a call.

Thanks James
This matches what Kings told me. Their LC/LJ lowered front springs have a code KHFL-08. If they are other than standard rate then they would be noted 'SP' special production of similar. They can make springs rated to a customers requirements (up to a maximum) but there is nothing on the spring to tell you the spring rate. Just the 'SP' to indicate that it is not off-the-shelf.

Found some invoices after a good look. These are the part numbers for the springs and shock combo that Toperformance Products sell for NC Toranas. SPTF-328/2 ( Torana race 820lb) SPTR-334/2L Special Torana Shocks 80-2153 and
80-2134 with an extensive detailing of part numbers and mods to them to valve them to the NC specs. Hope this is of assistance. At the time I was advised that they had as part of the package a pair of Whiteline bars to suit, but we agreed that what I already had on the car would be fine, so I did not purchase them. The setup works really well, when I was hillclimbing the car it slashed heaps of time from previous results.
