I have a T shirt with 'Winning isn't everything, it's a Brocky thing!' And the damn thing doesn't fit. Also, at Pukekohes first last V8 round the missus and I was walkin' through the merch area. Saw the line to Petes tent with loads of people wanting loads of stuff signed. Missus said, 'get the camera ready'. I did, she yelled out 'Mr Brock... Mr Brock' he turned, looked directly at us and waved, I took the picture. Most of the people standing in line were looking like... 'duh, why didn't I think of that?'

My most treasured brock stuff is as a 8 year old with the family on holidays to QLD we stumbled on peter signing postcard size posters in a shopping centre , one was the winning 79 A9X and the other the winning VB commodore in the rally they did,the A9X poster I followed up to get the other signatures of john Harvey and John shepherd at the muscle car masters in 2011.

I remember when I was at school he was supposed to come for a chat/ presentation or something. I was very excited to meet the man, but on the day his brother Phillip came instead saying Peter couldn't make it. at least I got to check out the (then) new HDT VK. a lot of the teachers were lining up for a ride, don't think any students went. I've still got the HDT booklet they were handing out.

Peter Brock the movie. Just came across this. They probably wont to him justice, the womanizer and wife beater card will be played no doubt.

Will be interesting to see what race cars will be used. Replicas obviously.

This is a good read for the Brock fans. Starts with his childhood and teenage years through to his first marriage. It covers his National Service, his passion & dedication to go motor racing including the building and racing of the now famous A30. It covers the very early days with the HDT and concludes with his first Bathurst win in 1972. It provides a great insight to the Peter Brock before he became a public figure. The writer & the photographer both knew Peter in his youth and the book provides many stories recounted by family, friends and team members. Most of the photos included in the book are published for the first time.

The Dreamworld thing should be OK. I thought Peter Champions museum was awesome, but I guess it was just too far away from the city to be successful.

Brock drag racing Morris at Calder Park. Look for a cameo at the 52 second mark.
