Here you go.. I made the bit out of some plastic tube i had that happened to be the exact size.. welded on.. works as it should.. doesnt look pretty but does the job

Hey Mike, just wondering, purely as a matter of interest, would it be viable to fully weld the ring in place rather than just those 3 original spots or would it interfere with the fitment of the ignition switch?.

there is a bracket that holds the three switches in place.. and the small threaded ring that holds the iginition face to the palstic ring.
Dave.. havnt thought of that.. dont know why its like that.. Ill try with the next one..

That's a beautiful job you did there Mike thanks for the pics. I think I'm missing that metal bracket to hold the switches in place. That could be a bit of a show stopper. I will have to have another look through my boxes of bits. My car is a complete bitsa nothing is original and most parts I own have been collected from various wreckers over the years when Toranas were a dime a dozen. I miss those days!

I might have a spare one if needed..I have destroyed a few damaged dashes to fix others.. Ill look later today.
