FUEL TANK SIZE

Hey guys, How many litres does the standard LH 6 cyl fuel tank hold, reason i ask is that i fitted a SLR cluster to mine, orig tank stil in it. if i fill it to the brim, then drive till the guage says dead empty, i go to refill it and she only holds about 27 litres.

I have only done approx 200km on a tank before the guage reads empty, lol

According to the good book, 55 litres.

i know the gauges are not accurate, no fuel gauges are, i can drive around for about 2 hours with the last qtr in the tank, but if i has 3/4 of a tank it only takes 1 hour to get to halfway.
