My heads have double valve springs, 1.9" inlet valves.
They dont have "YT" stamped on the upper side of the exhaust port,
They dont have "B" cast into the outside of the head.
So could they be L34 heads.?
Should i give them a "bowl job" they look like i could do it without any trouble,
but if they are L34 do they need it ?
Thanks Baz

You got a pic of them? Do the valves nearly touch in the middle, about 3-4mm gap. Early Y/T heads didn't have Y/T stamped in the valves. Have a search for Y/T Head Identification. Have posted the story about 3 or 4 times already. I have one L34 head in the shed, if you want to give me some measurements I can check it against that.
Here's a pic of early Y/T heads.

sorry your not getting much reply but with out seeing them it sounds like you have a set of heads your not sure of, use them as exchange or have then tidied up by a good shop, sounds like they are red heads with large valves and double springs fitted, but if someone has had a play with the ports they can actually perform worse than stock, hence have them checked or exchange for ready to go heads.
