Hi all.
I have had a bloke who owns a hatch in Melbourne send me some pictures of his rear floor.
It won't take the banjo diff and is fitted with a small Salisbury diff.
I think the car may have been stolen at some point in time and rebithed as a 4 cylinder sunbird.
Can others who know look at the pictures he has sent me give me their thoughts please.
If you have negative bullshit I don't want to know so please kepp it to yourself.

Radious at edge of infill section. Looks close to a9x but its been a long time since I looked at one. Radious looks a bit small thought it was bigger from memory.

Current diff in the car is a uc small Salisbury diff.

Doesn't the UC share the same rear floor section as the A9X?

Could the car be a UC? You haven't mentioned what front panels are on the car, but I assume that it may be LX.

Looks like it has had a front floor patch been put in, under the carpet does it have the vent plate attached to the wood? Also the inside of the wheel arch looks flair-less, is it?

I know of a white A9X that was stolen and recovered in the 90's with Sunbird plates on it.

Would like to know what b8s is. Blister looks correct for a9x from what I can see in the pics. Is anyone in Melbourne who knows exactly what to look for with knowledge of a9x body shells interested in going to look at it?

I thought it would be the fuel vapour separator that every car with a charcoal canister should/must have.

Agree. This join in the floor under the rear seat doesn't look factory.

That would be typical of an insurance company back in the day.

Supply the back half of a rooted A9X to repair a sunbudgie.

Not just insurance companies Wot.

Mate of my brother used to make his living from going to salvage auctions buying desirable cars he could turn a buck on.

He wasnt alone. There were lots doing it.
