Mixing up LH and LX parts, sticker, decals, paint schemes, etc. on the one car.
SS badges on a sedan.
I get it; each to their own but it's just not my thing.

I remember those; thankfully those 'bumperettes' are illegal these days.

Butchering the front corner off front flares to get tyres to clear. Are better ways to achieve the same goal without any cutting.

Roof Aerials were the hot item in the 1980's
So were custom jobs: stacked headlights, big Gemini mirrors and crushed velvet interiors. lol.
Oh and those B&W banner stickers you put across the top of your windscreen; telling people what car you drove in case they didn't know.
i.e. TORANA SLR

Haaaa Steve, I am Guilty of have the Black thingy with TORANA wrote on it on my front windscreen, back in the 1980's on my Red LJ Torana 'S' 2-Door
The only reason I remember it is when I'd wash my windscreen and look at it sideways I could see TORANA SLR across the top almost etched into the glass, it would appear for quite a few months after I bought my car; it then dawned on me it must've had one of those stickers; in the sun, the black background would've been hotter than the white lettering and it burnt an imprint onto the glass.
Great days!

I don't like aftermarket gauges or racing seats, when a old car has a modern interior doesn't seem to go

While we're talking 80's; those dragon or eagle stickers you got from K-Mart, half the size of the Trans Am bonnet sticker and they came with smaller stickers of the same image for elsewhere on your car.
They were a hit with the Asian community and a friend of mine would call those Chinese SL/R's, even though the drivers were Vietnamese, etc. Usually an S or SL bog stock; the stickers trying to make the most out of a poo brown Torana and sometimes they'd even have flares with 'razor blades' (stockies).

Auto Shop in the 1980's have a lot to answer too lol
As useful as K-Mart, it's where you'd get your Purity Auto ashtray granules so your car smelt like apples when a ciggie hit them, your window weathershields, spotties and those perspex bubble number plate covers and perspex headlight protectors (plain or with horizontal pin-stripes) that you screw onto your headlight buckets.

I had those bubble number plate covers on my cars in the 80"s
Coppers told me to remove them as the speed camera's at the time could photo your number plate.
Remove or I will fine you, he said.
