They look like a different rim to me.

It looks like there is a band or ring around the spoke section, that does not look very appealing.

Where the spokes meet the rim section?
That is because the new hotwires are a two piece rim, unlike the original ones which were one piece cast.

The 15 by 10 does look good,

So how do they successfully attach the inner to the outer?

I,d think with rim flex at the join on near side, could cause the 2 surfaces to wear on each other.Wonder how they would look after years of usage .I could see in earlier pics ,that they may be anchored at rear.

Will be interesting as that is the same person I got mine from and he said that the finish is how it is with the laquer and machine lines  .I can see this being a joyous outcome

Tx Adrian .You appear to have been one of the lucky ones Someone obviously inadvertently polished your rims at the factory .Mine are machine finished as he states in his reply email after I complained ,not polished .Noticed though in his advert they are listed  as polished

Bernie

Jeff

Your description of the rims never made any mention of machine finished or that the wheel nuts are not like original Hotwires .”Hotwires “aren’t machine finished they are polished . I asked you about the big nuts with the washers to which you replied Yes .These rims have tapered seats which will be no good if I have to machine the face and they don’t look right .For me to get them polished there will be a cost for something that should have been done already .

Wheel nuts are going to have to be made so that it looks like a original Hotwire .This will also cost money .You make no mention of any of the differences from the original hotwires advertised or I would not have purchased them .

The freight payment has been paid for already .

I would be Ok with the polishing side of things but the wheel nuts as being tapered are a no go .If you supply the correct nuts as per our discussion  and they are made to fit I can work with that .If not I wish to return them as they clearly aren’t as advertised

Regards

Bernie

Hi Bernie

Thanks for your email.  The standard finish on new wheels is machined then clear lacquered as supplied to you. You are welcome to get them polished if that is the look & finish you are after. Nuts are taper seat as supplied, if you want to exchange these for some longer ones to suit your studs, just return them to me with measurements of the extra length you require and I will send replacements.

Can you also reimburse the additional freight payment as agreed.

Many thanks.

Bernie your missing the point. You and adrian have different brand wheels. Yours are 1 piece $1750 a set and Adrian has 2 piece $3350 a set. Your wheels are half the price hence half the quality

LS1LX,

We both bought them from the same guy so he may be selling both styles . Jeff has " found" my email and got in touch with me so we will see where it goes from here .Hopefully there will be a good outcome for all concerned .

Send them back and buy the 2 piece version, it will probably cheaper than all the machine work required on your Taiwanese ones

Tbh I can't understand why you would actually want shank type wheel nuts, they are horrible nasty things.
