Pretty sure they are different as in LJ they went to a collapsable unit (exactly the same as HQ)

Not sure about boss's though, they mey still be the same... ???

The LC column has the same spline as HK,T,G (and i think HR),LJ is the same as HQ on. Both the columns were collapsible.

Pretty sure (apart from what's been said already) that the indicator mechanism in the LC is different to LJ too...

you'd be right. LJ column shares the same indicator innards as LH-LX. Although the steering column itself is different, in that LJ is a little shorter from end to end and barrel lock is in a slightly different position. i found this out when i was removing the collapsed auto steering column out of my LJ and wondered if a spare LH column would fit in.

really??? i didn't know this...my lj didn't have a nob on the indicator stalk when i got it. but i found an interior door lock nob thing (you know what i'm talking bout) fits perfectly if you run a tap in it lol.

As far as I know anyway! My first car was an LC 4door (161 auto, column shift) - on the gear shift handle the knob was conical but with a recessed circle in the top/end of the knob, same thing for the indicator knob... The LJ I had later on had the roebuck pattern on the end and a groove going around the side of the indicator knob.
