its completely pointless as VW's all have hardened valve seats

 

Yeah I read that. So if it deposits a gum onto the seats; after not using it for a while would this gum harden, seal the gaps and become the new seat?

I had the magnets on an old Sigma wagon I owned... I'm a mileage man and my figures suggested it worked. So well, it's still stuck inside my old toolbox.  No but I swore it worked.
