Thanks for posting. That was some good racing.
Seems his car came on more and more through the race, and the others got loose.
Dare I say it, what it lacked in straight line speed he made up in the corners. Quite unusual for a Val

thats really tidy racing and close - he back it out many times rather than hit the other cars

That orange mustang driver is very wild. Smoothness is the key.

Perry Spiridis is the guy in the Orange mustang. He had a wild lose at the end of the back straight in Race 2 and put it o0ff the track backwards.

Darryl Hansenin ther grey/dark silver Mustang has  great HP.  He used to have the exStilwell Fastback Mustang The car is built by Dennis O'Brien in Wagga. It revs so cleanly and is a gun machine but the tyres go off. He put a new set of tyre on for each race. The tyres on the charger wer 4 meetingsd old at least.

Maybe its time to limit the number of sets of tyres available per race meeting?

Beautiful driving by the Val!

Actually the best racing I've ever seen in person was at Historic Winton maybe 3 years ago? Lime green RX2/Capella and a Magenta E49 type charger if I recall correctly. Everyone was just looking at those two for about 4 laps!

Magenta Charger is Michael Hibbert. I cant quite remember the Mazda. Michael didnt race at winton this year because we were last race of the day.

Thats because only Group N and Group S have headlights!

Negotiotations with organisers didnt work. Grids have gone from 2 grids of thirty cars to one of 30 . Organisers have only them selves to blame. And the bloody motor bikes dont help either. Short practice time (12 mins) meaning at best 8 laps and late races are the down fall. The organisers of the actual racing are crap. Austin 7 club just wont listen. The VHRR meeting in August is overall a better meeeting.

The races never start on time and being last race of the day means that you are packing up in the dark and then a 3 hour drive to get back to Melbourne and then un pack ready for work next day. Even later home if you come from other places. Some times it's all to difficult.

Green Mazda RX2 could have been Bill Attard from Sydney. He generally is a front running group nc Mazda
