I like the look of flares but be advised, they collect gravel rash, crack in time and then a bit costly to replace esp if you have some fancy new fangled paint on your car which you cannot possibly match yourself.
Food for thought but the look IMHO is worth it all.

Herne's car shows perfect example of how to have flares.

Herne, what size and brand tyres have you got on yours ?

The rear are 15 x 10 (A9X flares) currently running Yokohama 265/50/15
The fronts are 15 x 8.5 currently running Goodyear Eagle 225/50/15 due to the offset I cannot possibly run larger front tyres, as it is these just touch the upper flare when on full lock.
If I got new rims I would want the large negative offset and also increase the positive offset. Then I could run some really huge tyres

The whole idea of fitting flares is to put wide tyres on. You cant do that without actual flares.Anyone ever thought about what painted-on flares would look like? ie black bolts and black piping. Could have the look of flares without cutting her up! A job for someone in photoshop I think
