Rare Spares are in the process of having them reproed at the moment. I believe it is planned for them to be available by christmas :spoton:

There's a chap in Sydney that also makes them, but I've been on the waiting list since XU-1's on the Mountain! - so Xmas is looking good

Cheers

Torry nut,
I don't know how much they cost but they obviously take a long time to make. As I said above, Iv'e been waiting since the first torana meet @ Bathurst (2002)!! I followed up again just prior to the 2004 event but was still down the list (relegated by those attending the meet) and still haven't heard anything. I've more or less given up on Grant and am eargerly awaiting the Rares ones by the end of the year. From memory the price estimate for them was about $120-00.

Cheers,

I got coulpe of Jag dashes from Dash Original they had change over system for them then, 12 years back. Their work was very good and the dashes are still fine.

I bought the surround from them earlier this year and was very happy (am local adelaide). The guy who runs it is not overly pleasant to deal with - lucky he has nice office staff, :-). Installed it myself - is not that hard, just need to be careful. Not worth the extra they are charging.

LC consoles are smaller as they accomodate the opel box.

Nothing like a small tight box !!!!!!

the small tight box may cause premature failure

Hi, I have just received my console surround trim from gm3300 in the mail today and it is a pearler! :spoton: I have compared it to an original and can confirm it has the same profile, color and the mounting lugs all line up perfectly (I tried it in a surround).
It is every bit as good as the original. The only difference i could find is the mounting lugs on the repro are a bit shorter (but quite long enough and the originals were too long anyway). You can't see the lugs when the console is installed .
Cost was $50 plus registered postage so I had it for $60 total. Apparently made from polycarbonate it is every bit as firm as the original but won't break from just looking at it like the originals seem to these days.
Even if your original is perfect I would still consider getting one of these while you can (it is only a matter of time before you knock the original and it breaks).
Thanks gm3300. Any chance you can make the shift pattern plate???

Regards,
jpxu1 :D
