hey ppl

im in the middle of re-doing the torries interior and want to know if anyone has any ideas on what to do about the ugly wheel arches? (section in the back of hatches either side just behind each of the rear seats) From factory they are just covered with carpet. The area im talking about is where the latch on the seats clip on to. Has anyone made something custom or come up with an idea to make them look neat a tidy?

cheers

I know 'Knox Auto Carpets' do new sections of carpet but if you retain the angled loops in the wheel arches you need to make holes for the bolts with a soldering iron etc... Other than that I don't know what else you could do to that area.

Howdy Laspy, funny you bring this up...

I just bought a Sunbudgie with a 6 in it. As it is a non genuine,
not sort after model, I want to do a few 'out there' things to her.

I was just thinking about the rear wheel arches!!!

If I think of anything, I'll let you know. Looking forward to having a play
after the 'constraints' of the SS.

Trim will be the main area. Currently looking over older, larger coupes
out there from big ol' Mercs and Beemers to Yankee machinery for
some inspiration. Keep you posted.

Hey, that goes both ways!! Let me know if you think of anything.

hey mate loll.. yeh i was playing around with that idea.. i was looking at getting some fake mini tubs made up to cover them but its way too much hassle. The problem is the rear seats folding up and down without getting in the way... but anywayz back to the drawing board.
