Yeah, never thought about that Makka, if the diff can handle Bathurst then it should be ok for me.

Or bit the bullet and have some billet axles made. :spoton: The only problem with that is I'll start blowing the centre instead.

Depends on the ratio, tyres (stickiness) and driving style. A full recon with new bearings, and checking the caps for any cracking, as well as regular oil changes will go a long way to making sure it holds together. As with the gearbox, lay off the power until the car is moving, and it will last longer.

I have never blown my banjo LSD and it is course spline. I have completed 30+ passes on the quarter with this diff and it has held up fine. You just have to know how to treat it.

Fine spline banjo LSD 512RWHP. The only thing modified on it is a cap reinforcement cradle cause I have had the caps crack on me.

I have abused these diffs with relatively sticky tyres and have never bent axles.

Have tramped the diff at the track and this did break the spider gears but on the street it can take alot of punishment.

Course spline axles on the other hand will break easily.

Open centres break easily also, course or fine.

It is ONLY the fine spline LSD that has any strength.

Dont expext it to survive doing heaps of burnouts/donuts as no cone type diff will.

Straight ahead burnouts where both wheels spin at the same speed ar fine.
