G'day all.

Last Saturday we had some of our car club members over to help prepare our club newsletter for mailing.

In general conversation, Colin who owns a 1957 Morris Minor said to me:

Well Barry! you don't drink, you don't smoke and you don't gamble! How do you get your fun out of life?

Hmm Fun in Life...

Well... I've always been a shooter.. Enjoy my shooting especially clay target diciplines, Driving.. the Coupe, torana/s, anything with 4 wheels an a motor really! and of course My better half!

Not neccesarily in that order either

i drink, smoke and spend nearly every penny on car/s but the other half would come in top spot, we all know why

I get a good kick out of life with my Torana's, friends & family, my lovely fiancee of course, the forums, talking cars and discussing all the usual stuff, snowboarding (when I can), photography, and I'm obviously very passionate about our car club, and love nothing more than constantly looking forward to the next event or cruise or show... especially the weekends away like Springnats etc... those kinda things are what my life seems to revolve around... being heavily involved on the Eastside committee has been one of the best things I've ever done... the people you get to meet and contacts you make is fantastic... it's a pity that sometimes the full-time job gets in the way... but at least our work put on great parties and work-lunches etc...

I'm sure there are heaps more things that should be on my list, but that's what popped into my head in the 30 seconds it took me to reply...

Rarely dribk anymore (have gout)
And rarely gamble..... shit I don't even buy lotto..... but I still wanna win it
I have racecar to play with though ....... oh and another 7 cars that need work from time to time (that I never have time to work on)

I have plenty of fun.. I really can't complain.

I make video games for a living.
Drink beer on the weekends
Play poker with my mates (and at the casino on rare occasions)
Don't smoke ciggies, just the occasional cigar or a puff of my hookah
go snowboarding when ever possible

And between it all I work on my torrie.. if I have spare cash.
I can't wait till its finished so I can spend my time cruising.

I'me kind of partial to the cue sports, & i also coach junior 8 ball. I have a slr project which will be ready in 2 years, [ said that 3 years ago] & i just got a porsche which will require my 'immediate' attention for the next 6 months. Add to that work commitments & who has time for fun?
