My mother brought a SS hatch in 1983 and i fell in love with it, turned 18 in 1990 ang got the car given to me only for it to be written off by my best mate a year later.. Been rebuilding it ever since.. Brought a few different shells, some got smashed some were sold untill i found the one i currently own(best of the lot).. I got this SS hatch about 7 years ago and started a full rebuild, got painted about 12 months ago, motor been done for over 5 years witch is the 308 from the 1st one mum gave me, brought brand new gear for it over the past 7 years.

Im hoping its on the road this summer but i hoped that last summer and the previous summer, and the summer before that..

Pickup up my lc gtr in oct 2004
Went interstate for work until apr 2005,(started then).
16mnths later its 100% rust free, straight, frnt n rear susp fully rebuilt and inplace.
Will re lead wipe all welds next mnth.

Best tip i can give is - RESIST the temptation to spend money on ANYTHING except for body parts, leave engine, trims, seal etc till the very end and you'll have the cash flow to get to rolling painted shell.

Once you have a painted shell its all down hill from there, its worked for everytime (4cars)

hehe Dust collectorts club... Founding Member!!

Well... ive owned mine since 99.. and really.. till december 2004 it hadnt really been driven.. TOok it of the road 3 months after i bought it for tubs and cage and it all went to shit from there!

I got it back together with the help of a few friends in dec 04, and have driven it a bit since.. still march this year when new problems surfaced! So... Back to the dust collection!

At the moment ive gotten the shits with it.. so i'm starting to get my shit organised to fix it and get it running again!

Ahh well :) what else woudl we be doing!

Just 15x10 with 275 60 R15s.. but it doesnt rub anywehre, and i could go a different offset/shorten diff to squeeze inlarger rubber if needed!

Not going to do anything liek that though.. as per this thread its been off the road well and truly long enough!
