I'm after a 5 speed for the UC (red 6) and will be looking at a Celica 5 speed on Monday.
There is no cross member etc, just the box.... at this stage, I don't even know if there's a clutch etc!
Can anyone advise on what to look for, what I'll need to complete the conversion.
What should I avoid etc.
Is there anyone in the Northern Subs Melb I can chat to to learn more about Manuals?

Can anyone here point me in the direction of a workshop that recoes Gboxes who may do a conversion for me.... same day?
Thanks guys, I know I'll get the good oil here.
Cheers.

probly best to find somthing that came straight off a holden 6 to keep costs down.

you need!

Celica - holden 6 bellhousing
a celica clutch plate, can use the holden presure plate
spigot bush to suit celica shaft and holden 6
Celica yoke, can get them made up to suit celica box and holden tailshaft. maybe there is a cheaper option, but thats wat i did.
crossmember
custom speedo cable
2.5L of oil

dont think i missed anything :D

all ads up i spent over $1000 on the supra conversion, well worth it though

i think celica steel case and holden 6 use the same yoke.

carefull selection of bell housing if purchasing parts seperatly as there are different setups for the clutch fork and mechanisems, ie hydrolic, cable, dog trap (rat trap) etc. do your homework which setup you need and works best.
then of course you need the folk and throw out bearing and carrier that suits the bell housing as these parts are only suited to each bell housing.

some of the older conversion bell housings, i think hatfield are cast for multi setup.
