LC LJ brake hose tension at full lock
Hi all. Nearly finished my project after all this time, being in Covid lockdown has helped have focus time in the garage. One benefit of living through a pandemic .
I couldn't help notice how much tension there is on my front brake hoses at full lock. Is this normal for a LC/LJ disk brake front end? With or without the spring loaded tensioners attached to the hoses / splash guard the bend in the hose is virtually no different.
I'm running standard LJ calipers and the hoses I purchased are from Rares BH1016 https://www.rarespar...ront-disc-brake
Disclaimer is I have not had a front wheel / end alignment done as yet, so there is a chance I have too much toe out that is putting tension on the hoses.
I have struggled to find any pic's of a standard LC/LJ at full lock, and can't find any past posts with the same issue.
To me it just looks like there is absolutely no slack in the hose at full lock, where I would expect even just a little bit of slack so it's not under such pressure, maybe leading to fatigue.
If anyone can help and advise if this is normal or if I have stuffed something up, it would be greatly appreciated.
