Umm, I understand you might want brand new but have you considered a wrecking yard? I would have thought you would still be able to find reasonable HQ/HZ PBR calipers around?

Commo calipers are fine if he's putting them on a commo
But I suspect its for a Torana
Since that caliper was last used in 1975 I'd expect them to have stopped making them too
Wreckers are your best bet....... then rebuild them

Wilwood make 4 pots that people use on HQ stubs
Depends how much money you have
What wheel size you want to use
How much clearance is under said wheels
And what disc size you need
Depending of course on what your intended use of the vehicle is

160MPH and 4.5" front rims sounds like a mid 9 sec drag car to me rather than a street car
That being the case you will already have a chute and probably not enough vacuum to run a brake booster to work efficiently anyway
Your large rear tyre contact patch means you should really be running more rear brake as the rear is less likely to skid when you put the anchors on. With the added rear downforce when the chute pops this will also help
Id have a look at your rear brakes too and get some 4 pots on the back too (dynalites)
As for the fronts some Superlites would be a good idea but be careful of overbraking it as it will be more uncontrollable with a locked wheel at the end of the track.

On the back it his stange drums which they call big ford racing drums it has a wilwood proportioning valves and a linelocker. It has the chute there but i have pull it once and its not a good thing !!! i just don,t know what to do like i mean someone will tell u this way and other will tell you something else
So there 3 way i can go that i know of
1 HQ stub hq brakes (need better caliper) etc wilwood or better made hq type if there are any
2 hopperstopper kit back to lh stubs (what kills me there is i get trade price on my parts he making $$$$ good money on top that kit on trade is around the 800 make less the backets etc)
3 put a spindle kit on it big bucks 3k+ there
/shugs
or 4 sell up (i think not)

My engine builders lh has run 9.1 @148.7 and runs stock front brakes and ford drums rears non boosted and has stopped the car without the chute, not sure how but has
I will be running wilwood fronts and ford drums rear and as i said will let you know how i go on costing but really wont be as much as you think.
Ash.

I'd go the HQ stubs and Wilwood calipers myself
And convert the rears to disc with some Dynalites on the back
The rear brakes need to work alot harder than the front
Look at any "built" drag car like Doorslammer,Dragster,Top Comp etc...... bigger brakes on the back than the front

If you look in the ANDRA book, a lot of classes require 11" ventilated rear discs as a minimum.
