Hi, could somebody tell me which flare is correct. One has a recess for the front spoiler to fit and the other(grey) is flat.

They never had a recess for the front spoiler. I've never seen that before.

 

Actually could be an excellent idea if it's well executed and a good flare overall. That is certainly an area of the flare kit that was a bit lacking in fit & finish quality.

The grey ones are certainly closer to the mark (Repliglass?)

The ends were trimmed off the SL/R 5000 front spoiler to fit.
