Mrs Knoath has showed some late interest ( WTF???)....she's also keen to bring Knoath Jnr No. 1 who is 3yr, 9mth old (  ) so I have organised a Knoath Jnr No.2 sitter (11 wks old) and looks like I won't be an 8:00am K-mart starter.. I guess we'll have to meet you all a smidgen later at the track. <_<

See you there

Knoath we can meet at my joint if you want and head up together as i doubt im gona be a 8.00am K-MArt starter to..

Anyone else is welcome to meet at my joint if they want.. Im about 300meters from the hume...A good meet place would be the Kingswood drive fish shop, they have a 20 or so car park out the front and it can been seen from the hume quite easily..
Just a thought..

Dunno when I'll get away John, I'm hoping about 8:30 - 9:00, I'll cruise down Kingswood Drive, if you're there, you're there...if not, don't wait too long for me, I'll see you there.

may just take the Dunnydoor wagon.... got a shirt or two to bring with me!!!

Very kind offers guys, but I haven't seen dad for months while he's been in America, so I invited him to Heathcote; I should be right for getting there.

PS Anyone who needs shit karted up there; two stockies for burnouts, a spare set of axles etc, PM me because we will be travelling in a ute, and on that note, do you feel like bringing that banjo along Knoath?

Well.....I'd rather not, I'll have my son in the car as well as all the shirts, so.....will you be going home along the Hume? If so you could call in and grab the lot! I'm 2 mins off the Highway....no point dragging it all the way there, then you having to cart it all the way to Box Hill 'eh?.

253: The only drama with doing that is it was only covering up the problem... I did notice it before but it wasnt as bad ( ignorance is bliss??)

I just cant afford to kill an engine or the car will be off the road for years to come.. so i'd rather play it safe and just drive down and have the shits all day about it....

hehe cheers anyhow..

Unfortunantly, sometimes you have to play it safe.

While I can't make the 18th, there is a Porsche Sprint Day that I've been invited to at Wakefield Park on the 20th. Get to do some driver instruction in the Porsches as well, so better take a few extra pairs of undies.

The engine is coming out to fix the oil pick up problem. Nothing else has gone wrong, has it?

dunno yet....
its one of those it could be this or it could be that situations

so the best thing for us to do at this stage is take it out and look right over everything

Simmo's right.. We have to remove the engine and strip it down to check everything.. I want to check bearings all over, rings, check teh heads ( valves are sealing etc just to make sure everything's ok.

Most of all i need to check the oiling problem, Pickup, bearing clearances, everything...

I cant afford to grenade a motor... and i dont want to rush something like this especially as cliff is very busy right now. I'm very angry with myself for not putting the diff gears in erlier and finding this problem sooner ( assuming it was there).. and most of all angry cause i cant bring the car down to show all of you who've helped me through its build with all teh positive comments etc.

I'll be grumbly all day but at least i'll get to shake everyone's hand and know that it'll be ok for the next one we organise!

Cheers

You're right. If you're going to rip it out to check it, check EVERYTHING. Just be carefull. You might "accidentally" lose the camshaft and have to buy a bigger one!
