I bought a spare aircleaner housing some time ago (top and base) for my LC GTR. Ilooked at it again recently and the top is the same as my LC, but the hole in the base is too smal for the WW carb. Did the LJ GTR have the same top and base with a smaller hole in the bottom for the single throat strommy??

What you have is the base to suit the single stromberg, off the lj gtr.
The top is the same as lc gtr but it needs a base to suit the ww2 stromberg.

can you use the base of a 186S air cleaner or are they different?

186 S used the WW2 carbie as did the 2600S
