Hi guys,
I've just fitted the new vynal to the rear quarter and door tops.
Could someone please post a photo of the correct position for the seatbelt hook in the B pillar, a rough measurement would be good too. I don't want to go poking holes in the wrong position looking for the screw holes. Is the position the same across all LC to LJ's? Mines a July 73 car in case there was a variation.

Thanks

There is no seat belt hook on the B pillar on a 2 dr. There is on a 4dr but not a 2 dr.

The 2dr uses the coat hooks mounted on the headliner for hanging the seat belt tongues.

Hi James, have you just fitted a new hood lining? Thats what covers the seat belt fixing hole or coat hook hole.

The hood lining isn't fitted yet. There's the coat hook that goes above the rear quarter window through the hood lining but on my car it had a smaller hook on the B pillar for the seatbelt. I've never had to hook my seatbelt up high like those photos. Maybe this was just on the later LJ's.

Never on any two door LJ. No 1974 TA 2dr has them. My mates 9/73 Adelaide 82311 RPO L20,M20,G93 didn't have any hooks on the B Pillars. Someone has fitted those after your car left GMH.

What does the hook that was fitted to your B pillars look like?

Maybe only the special cars got them.😃
I should've thought about this earlier but I can use the original vynal pieces to locate the holes in the B pillar.

I agree, no seat belt hook on the B pillar for 2 door , only a coat hook further back above the pop out window.

Best way to find them without pulling trim off is to get a very sharp pin or needle, I use and airbrush needle. Keep prodding in the general area until it goes through.

The special cars with the high performance go fast seatbelt hooks. Conveying a sense of humour doesn't always work via the internet obviously.

Sometimes not easy to feel the humour vibe when having a busy day. Oh how I don't like Mondays.

I think the ones with the extra hooks are on a list only given to dealers.
